I tried logging in to my yahoo account the other day & I couldnt. I then went to my profile & everything had been changed except my picture. All my personal info was taken. I am devastated. I had had that account for about 7 yrs if not longer.

Is there anything that I can do to get it back ???????

Ok, I work for this idiot company that managed to loose track of a disk with employees names, Social Security numbers, birth dates, etc. Now that my info may be in the wrong person’s hands, what is the best way for me to avoid identity theft?
Do any companies offer any kind of comprehensive identity and credit monitoring service to catch something early and nip any problems in the bud? Are these services limited to just credit monitoring, or will they keep an eye out for other things, like someone trying to obtain a driver’s license with my personal info?
I’m really peeved by my employer’s negligence.

I am wondering how does people’s SSN# got stolen and all the personal info stolen as well. And is it easy for people’s personal info get stolen on the computer over the internet?

Hi everyone! i just went to a store last week and applied for a credit card. unfortunately i was declined. i just remembered the day after that i filled out a form with my personal info including my SS number and wasnt able to get it back. Now, im getting nervous that i might be a victim of identity theft.
