Strangers (mostly hot women (I am male), but some people generally with usernames that suggest they are women) have been sending friend requests to my myspace. I don’t have very many friends on myspace and not enough to do certain things on certain myspace games (Mafia Wars for example), so I’ve been adding them. But is this safe? My profile doesn’t display my address, but it does have my city and it doesn’t have my birthday but it does have my age. It has where I went to high school and where I’m going to college. It also has a picture of me. Is there any risk of identity theft even if I don’t give out any more information than is already on my profile?
Like I said my birthday isn’t on there. Also my last name isn’t displayed.

Hi, i am a 19 year old college student who also does small time modeling on the side. I am from a small town in Michigan and I am having a serious problem on myspace. About a year ago I joined found out that I had an imposter. This person stole all my pics!! So I made a salute sign and video, that I sent to Tom. They deleted her page, but she came back with a different page. I keep sending in signs and she keeps getting deleted but she always comes back makes the same URL. I even switched pages so she wouldn’t find me but she found me =/
So she started harrassing me and I got so scared that I left myspace but I recently rejoined. She has now made TWO imposter pages of me..I feel like I am being stalked and myspace won’t help at all.
Is this identity theft? She does talk to people who then contact me where she has told them she wants to engage in sexual acts, even gave them phone numbers and sexual photos that aren’t even me but they think that it’s me. I’m kinda scared now..HELP!!!

My friend (14) is posing on the internet as a 25 year old woman with 2 kids. She created a myspace, and collected random pictures of kids (that looked alike, lol), and she is saying that she lives in NY (we live in CA). She just created a myspace using random names and stuff…so, would that be considered identity theft? Just wondering. And I am not using the friend thing one of those substitues for myself. It is really is my best friend. So, is it identity theft what she is doing?

i know of 3 people on myspace using my pictures and passing them off as their own. is this identity theft? they are using my pictures portraying me to be something that i am not. also, i got attacked last summer by a girl i’ve never seen in my life, because one of my fakes got into an argument over myspace. if this is illegal, how do i go about taking legal action.
