I’ve given my address to someone in a foreign country so they can send me a present. Its suddenly struck me that maybe they could use my address to commit fraud? am i being paranoid?
I’ve known them for over a year in a virtual sense. Its somebody I work with. Obviously they know my name and my date of birth. thank you for your advice!

I’m in despetrate need of help. I recently lost my school ID and social securirty card, is there a way someoene canm do fraud against my identity. I only lost those 2 items and I highly doubt if someoene finds it they will know my address or date of birth (which is somewhat needed to get a new driving license and open a credit card to my knowledge). Anyway I tried to do a people search with my name and nothing came up anywhere so I know this info is not known by anyone besides me and my family. So the question is do I have anything to worry about or am I fine. Can any damage be done with only that little bit of information and if so, what and how? PLEASE HELP….

My wife came to U.S. 2 years ago and got issued her SSN last October 07. Yesterday, we just found out that her SSN got linked to 3 different SSN with a series of delinquencies from way back when. The credit file also has a different date of birth.

At this point, I know the steps to clean up this mess and currently following it by contacting the credit bureaus and social security admin. However, I’d like you to help me understand in what way it could possibly happen. I’d like to be educated, and maybe it helps someone else to understand more about this as well. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I have a profile that appears to be messed up on addictinggames.com, I don’t know if it is really messed up or not.

I only gave the site my e-mail address and my date of birth, would this be enough for them to commit identity theft? (if the site is actually a fraud)
