Well about two years ago i commited identity theft in the state of new jersey . I charged up about 15 thousand dollars on a family members credit card who did not want to pay the bill due to the fact that i stole the card from them. Beofre the New jersey police or local police could find me i left the state . I dont know what happened afterward, or what happens if they can not find me? Is there an arrest warrant out for me and what will happen if i never return to the state of New jersey . Is this a crime they will persue forever? If i return after 10 years will they stil lbe after me. How can i find out if the police are even after me and if there is any arrest warrant out for me if they never spoke to me abuot this? As far as i know the money was returned to the family member by the bank because he filed a police report and i was the main suspect. Can anyone tell me what will occur in this case if the police never find me?

I have had my credit card # stolen in the past and have never had a problem with having the charges forgiven. This is $40 extra a year on my premium. Does anyone see any meaningful value with identify theft protection?

I know that it’s not the best idea to let someone use your credit card. If one does (a close friend that you felt you could trust) for an emergency payment, but decides to charge other things without permission and almost going to the limit ($2000) is that considered IT?

What if you kept warning them to stop and bring it back but you couldn’t reach them physically? Is there nothing one can do because they did get permission to use the card in the first place?
