I’ve filed a report with my local police dept, and filed a claim with the Federal Trade Comm, but since the fraudulent actions are happening out of state not sure who to call. FBI? State Police?
I have 3 additional emails associated with my geocities website. I have been getting spammed from my own email addresses. I also receive emails from postmaster saying messages from these emails were returned. I did not send anything out?! Should I be worried?
my credit card company called me yesterday and told me that there were 3 charges for about $2400 on my card to a 1800 flowers on mothers day. They have closed my account and told me they would send me new cards with a letter that i need to fill out. I am not that familiar with all this process, am I responsible for the $2400? & what should I do once I get the letter? And in the future what can I do to prevent such things of happening?
thanks in advance & have a good night
Why can’t we use like our thumb print as an ID or password, I mean really; we are already landing on fricken mars, so why can’t we stop a simple crime as this?
Personally, I have not, but I had to go to court and get my daughter’s credit history cleared out last year because of her low-down lousy other parent.
I discovered that I was a victim of Identity theft… what a nightmare, right?! Well, I’ve taken the preliminary steps to correct this I.E. police report, disputes to credit bureaus and creditors… but does anyone have tips or add’tl advice that maybe helpful to my circumstance??
What would be the best way to go about this? I’m confident in how good the protection is for the cost but how do I sell that to people that think they don’t need it when 1 out of 3 people are affected by it? Any help would be appreciated.
