One tenant disappear without paying and living behind some belongings. A new tenant uses the identity of the past tenant to get cable service.
The new tenant get evicted and on the mail, is a bill for the first tenant of 742.00 (including the value of cable box 500.00) The second tenant used and pay the bills on the first tenants name, except in the last few months. I believe the first tenant does not know that. Can I make a police report on that or I will get in trouble since the house is mine and I just find out it now?

I’m not referring to identity theft or anything else illegal, but I would like to have a second identity, just in case I ever want to disappear and start over. Can anybody give me advice or point me in the right direction?

I shred anything personal information before it is trashed. I refuse to give out my SSN as much as possible.

Okay. Let’s just say that:

You hand-draw something. There are some drawings and some of your print writing (writing in print - not cursive). If you scan that into your computer and display it on the Internet, are you at risk of identity theft or something similar, such as, someone forging your handwriting? What about if someone listens to your voice on the Internet? With all of the technology today, I wasn’t sure. I wanted to share some stuff I’ve drawn and wrote on the Internet. Please help!

Thanks!

I am a victim of identity theft but caught it years too late because I did not check my credit report. I’ve been reviewing my report this last week and on one of the reporting agencies is a judgment for a debt that I did not make. I have already disputed the items, filed a police report, and contacted the companies.

What do I need to do about this judgment? I have no idea what it is or what to do or who to contact or where to begin.

I have so much identity theft from a corrupt mortgage broker (most likely). I paid on two cards for at least six months, which was so stupid. In december, enough was enough and I stopped paying. I have finally started to take action. My attorney says that these can still be proven, but I see little hope. Anybody out there that works in this field? Freemason here.

I live in an area where door-to-door sales-people are very abundant due to a University whose students are trying to make money for tuition. I have purchased things from them before using checks, but with the Identity Theft problems going on, I feel like now it is a bad idea. What do you think?

Okay, so two years ago my wallet was stollen with my check book, check card, drivers licence, and social security card in it. Since then I have had numerous accounts opened in my name and I am having a hard time getting it all sorted out. Now I get a letter from a district court that they are holding a Grand Jury against me for worthless checks. I live about 1,000 miles away from the city that the Grand Jury will be in. I am worried that if I don’t go to it they will find me guilty of bad checks and I will have a bench warrent sent out on me. Plus, it says in the letter that I need to get a lawyer to help represent me. Help I have no idea what to do. Can I get arrested for not going?

Last Friday, my boyfriend Brandon was informed at work by a collection agency that he had a credit card account opened in his name that was past due. He never opened this account himself and told the person over the phone. She recommended he file a police report, which he did. That evening and over the weekend, he and I checked all the credit bureaus and saw that other companies were opened without his knowledge as well. We called all these companies and had the accounts closed, while reporting them as fraud. Turns out a coworker of his opened up some of these accounts! Last year he cosigned a few accounts with his coworker so that’s how he got a hold of Brandon’s social security number and opened accounts in Brandon’s name. He wants to inform his boss at work about his identity being stolen, just so they know what’s going on, and why he had to leave work suddenly on Friday, but I’m wondering if he should mention that it was his coworker that did this?
I forgot to mention that Brandon did file a security alert on all three credit bureaus (good for 90 days) then when he gets the police report, he’ll send that in so the alert will be on his reports for 7 years. Another concern he has is that his coworker will be arrested and won’t be able to pay the open accounts he cosigned with Brandon, and that Brandon will be responsible for paying the balance. Hopefully it will be wiped clean because of the circumstances?
I agree, he should tell his boss that it was his coworker. However he is afraid that something might happen to him, such as his coworker retaliating or something like that. But Brandon does have legal rights so it shouldn’t affect his job right? He’s afraid of ruining his reputation at work as well. Any further advice would be great. Thanks.
